RMS Ripoff Alerts
Please understand that after many, many years of trying our best to treat people decently, taking their word that they will perform a job as described and paying for said job we are tired of the constant double-crossing, lousy service that is received.
Here on this page going forward we will provide information describing the incident, why we feel we were "Ripped Off" and then let you make your own decision as to whether you want to deal with these people and/or businesses.
Some people would try to call this slander, but the real word is truth.
D&B Improvers, LLC - Virginia
Paid $5000 for a heat pump replacement installation June 2009. Multiple issues during installation including water damage to walls due to condensation drip line backup. Repairs for water damage were covered. New unit could not seem to function correctly, would not cut off and at times ran 16-18 hours a day. Installer would not return phone calls or e-mail requests for service. Had previously promised to return and install condensation pan cutoff switch, never installed. Paid another HVAC business $485 to check system out only to find that system had been installed incorrectly with a part being installed backwards and the system only containing 9 pounds of freon when the installation called for 19 pounds.
Universal Ford Service Department - Virginia
Installed new tires on 2000 SD Ford truck and immediately delivered truck to dealer for alignment. Indicated that camber adjustment on front was negative and also requested that steering wheel be straightened during alignment. Picked up truck a day later and discovered that steering wheel was still off-center and truck pulled to the right. Called dealer next morning, was told that once vehicle driven off lot, they were not responsible for any alignment issues and refused to correct the problems.
